This is especially true when advertising online. Yet those who know a little about foreign misspelling, may take advantage of this small mistake and find truly wonderful international costume jewellry shops all around the world.

Gold and Silver Jewellry From Isreal

For example, if searching for Jewish Jewellry and pieces handmade in Israel, it’s really amazing what’s available with a little misspelling. Looking for Hebrew pendants with inscriptions? Need a star of David or a charm with the Shema engraved in silver or plated gold? Looking for Judaic wedding rings or bridal sets? Then try misspelling Jewellry and you’ll probably stumble upon great little shops like Jewish Jewellry which is really an online shop worthy of note.

Designer Replica Wholesale Jewellry From Asia

There’s another benefit of misspelling English words, especially if you’re looking for Wholesale Jewellry from Chinese manufacturers of designer replicas. Some of the best distributors who carry faux G&G, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Armani and even Chanel, at really affordable prices, will label their wholesale products designer silver jewellry. Especially Tiffany replicas made in Asia will also make small mistakes, but offer exactly what customers are looking for.

Asian Business and Trade Directories and Jewellry Shows

Don’t discount using Asian Trade directories for finding wholesale suppliers for silver and fashion accessories, even those who are categorized strangely under labels like “jewlery“. And sometimes finding the latest trade shows and jewelry fairs takes a bit of creative ingenuity because even some of the largest international fairs may use unusual spellings. Take for example the Hong Kong Trade Fair may use the British spelling like International Jewellery Show and mix it up with other versions like jewelry, and jewellry.

Quality Merchandise and Spelling

Don’t despair about quality of merchandise when you see misspelled English words on foreign websites. It’s not usually a reflection of poor quality products or even poor management, it’s simply a fact that many well educated business people in Asia and throughout the world, where characters are used to represent complete ideas instead of letters to spell words, do not understand the importance of letters and spelling a word

Jewerly

Well, to say the least, jewerly is an unusual spelling for the word jewelry, but in looking up the different ways that people spell the word, it is a bit mind boggling to see all the different spelling variations.

There are two widely used spellings, one is Webster’s, which is jewelry, and then there is the English spelling, which is jewellery, and then there are several other lesser used spellings including jewlry, jewerly, jewellry, and jewlery.

I can’t think of any other word that has so many opportunities for misspellings, but when you pronounce the word, it could, depending upon where you are from, be conceivably spelled in all of these different ways. And, you can’t believe how many people spell it each of these various ways.

However it is spelled, jewerly has been an integral part of man’s culture ever since recorded history, and even before. Jewerly has never been a respecter of persons, and has been an important way to express wealth and social status irregardless of ones race or culture all down through time.

Amazingly, the very first forms of really antique jewerly from 90,000 years ago are still being made an worn today. During that period of time, shells were being strung together with some form of twine and worn as necklaces.

A vacation trip to almost any beach today will find the souvenir shops loaded with necklaces and bracelets made from local sea shells, and while they are strung on modern day twine, they are essentially the very same shell necklaces worn back in those ancient days.

In 4700BC during the reign of King Zer bracelets were made from gold and manufactured in a design and method widely available in today’s jewerly markets.

The Egyptians are credited with the beginning of our modern form of jewerly as it was during the time of this rich and progressive people that jewerly making became a skilled profession. Jewerly craftsmen and artisans were important members of the Egyptian society as their artistry produced the valued amulets and talismans, which were worn to protect against evil.

Since gold was highly valued for its color and it was easy to work with and readily available, it was used primarily by the Egyptian jewelers in their everyday efforts to produce their historically spectacular scarab.

Diamonds and other precious stones that are highly valued in today’s jewerly were infrequently used simply because they did not offer the color, nor the symbolism of the other more colorful gemstones that were often used.

Jewerly continues to leave its mark on every culture, no matter the country. When our modern day jewerly is unearthed thousands of years from now, our present day societies will, most likely, be noted as the era of an endless variety in its jewerly making.

Gold Jewellery

I have had a love affair with gold jewellery and designer handbags for quite some time.

I grew up in a small town and we had a local jewellery store down on our town square. Everyone knew they had quality jewelry, but we all also knew that it was higher than a cat’s back.

The people with money bought their jewlery gifts there, or, if you were like my family, and you wanted something smaller for a real special occasion you would go to “Overstreets” down on the square to purchase your jewelry.

That little independent jewelry store was great. They charged more but they always supported all types of community events and fundraisers. So it kind of evened out in the end.

If you wanted a larger selection of gold jewellery with less expensive prices you would drive twenty to thirty minutes depending on if there was a parade or something like that to slow traffic down, to the mall which was located in nearby larger town. The mall had the big department stores, and, of course, the chain jewellery stores.

I remember getting to go with my sister and her fiancee at the time to go make payments on their wedding rings. Sounds nuts doesn’t it? Yep, every other Saturday night we would trot to the the nearby town and waltz into the chain jewellery store to make payments on their wedding rings. The plan of course was to have these coveted rings paid off before the magical day.

I was all of nine years old and looking back, I”m pretty sure I smudged up every glass case and window with all my ooohing and awing at the fantastic silver, diamond and gold jewellery. The jewellery store clerks probably dreaded me coming, and, most likely, they got their Windex in hand ready for double duty after I left.

I had my eye on a gold jewellery cobra chain and a very special gold bracelet. I thought if I could just somehow get that gold chain necklace, I don’t know, maybe I could rule the world, or at least I would catch a lot of attention at my school.

See, I had watched the Olympics and watched how Mark Spitz had won not just any medals but big bright GOLD medals. I was so enthralled with his success that my dad gave me a stop watch so I could practice holding my breath before I went to sleep at night.

The stop watch was to help with my swimming training and, of course, to help me secure Olympic gold metals of my own one day! In retrospect, I’ll bet my mom and dad were giggling to themselves as they watched me using my stop watch to time my breaths every night before I dropped off to sleep.

If you are like me and most other jewellery loving folks, you probably started your love affair with gold jewellery early in life with a similar or perhaps grander experience, and probably your first pieces of gold jewellery were only inexpensive pieces of gold costume jewellery.

To me it is kind of like saying what is your favorite song of all time or your favorite movie of all time. It really depends on what mood I am in as to what jewlery accessories I choose on any given day.

If I am sad as a worm, an uplifting song or movie is just what I probably need, but it sure isn’t necessarily what I want. In fact, it tends to kind of ticks me off to have to listen to something real jolly and uplifting when I am more than down about something. But let’s get back to jewlery.

I guess, one of the basics we should address when we’re talking about Jewlery is to point out all the many different spellings for the word jewlery. There is jewellery, jewelry, jewelery, jewlry, jewlrey and of course jewlery. Kind of confusing isn’t it? I will use all of them interchangeably throughout our discussion.

What is my favorite type of Jewlery?

For some reason, I wear a lot of silver jewlery these days. I have a sterling silver charm bracelet and two sterling silver rings. I also wear some sterling earrings that are inlaid with turquoise and spiny oyster. I absolutely love them.

I don’t care too much for the earrings that dangle, although everyone says they look terrific on me. Most likely, it is because I’ve never gotten used to wearing them. I have dark hair and the sterling silver earrings that dangle down really accent my curly dark hair. I should probably try to get used to wearing them. Hey, a girl needs all the attention she can get, right?

I have been looking at some sterling silver jewellery watches. They can kind of be pricey, so I have been on the lookout for some at the wholesale sterling silver jewellery online stores.

I know exactly what I want, I just haven’t found the right price for it. But, I’m a patient woman, and I’ll just keep looking until I find what I want at the right price.

The silver watch that I’m on the lookout for is a southwestern style with truquoise and spiny oyster inlay to go with the beautiful sterling silver earring jewlery that I already have.

When I go out to an Art show or museum opening or a special birthday celebration, I like to wear gold jewellery including gold jewelery necklaces, rings, and, of course, my gold Rolex watch. Events like these are opportunities to see and be seen aren’t they?

Just the act of wearing gold jewlery makes me feel elegant, successful and upbeat. I guess gold jewlery has been a symbol of wealth and power for as long as any of us can remember hasn’t it?

Like me, you’ve probably wondered why of all the precious metals that gold and gold jewellery have remained all down through recorded time as the most desirable and popular symbols of wealth, power and prosperity.

Why out of all the metals was the allure of gold so strong that countless wars have been fought in every time period, by most cultures, and by many, many nations?

Just why has gold been so sought after that it has historically always been the singular symbol of power and wealth and why has it literally been worshiped by so many peoples and nations?

Even today,n most cultures, gold and gold jewellery still proves to be the most coveted precious metal for any culture and country. For example, look at our modern day stock market.

When the economy seems to be heading south, people of every country start buying gold stocks, and gold. They beging hording gold, gold jewellery, gold items of every description, and they even start saving their gold teeth.

Gold buyers advertise on TV that they will purchase your unwanted, outdated gold jewellery pieces. The practice is so lucrative and popular that it can even be done quickly by mail. The latest ad that I saw said you would get your money within seven days. That’s a pretty fast turnover since they have to get your gold pieces, weigh and analyze them, and then get your money back to you.

What about the contagious fever that resulted in the famous California Gold Rush in 1848. Men rushed to the west in hopes of hitting the big gold find that would make them unbelievably rich.

Most didn’t find gold, and a lot of them died trying. Yet, there were more than a few gold rushers that actually did strike it rich on their finds of big, wonderful, gold nuggets.

The brilliance of gold in the 14th century captivated the Incas and inspired them to totally cover every wall of the stunning Temple of the Sun in the golden precious metal. In the 15h century, Cortes defeated Montezuma and seized the Aztec’s vast stores of gold.

The Egyptians were smitten with gold and buried their Pharaohs and Queens with all manner of gold jewellery, gold head pieces, golden wrist bands, and their subjects even covered their caskets with gold.

The wealthy Egyptians wore gold jewellery and other fine jewlery of every description even during daily life. How many movies have been made about the enormous majestic Pyramids with their famous gold-laden burial tombs?

Yes, there is no doubt that the brilliance of gold and gold jewlery has magnetically drawn we human beings from the beginning of recorded history. We’ve hunted it, coveted it, horded it, and we’ve even killed many times over for it.

The allure of diamond jewelery today is almost as strong as the the love for gold jewellery has been all down through time.

While diamond jewlery has been sought after and worn throughout a great deal of recorded history, the art and science of cutting loose diamonds is relatively new, and it has only been during the last 150 yrs. or so that jewlery made with modern cut diamonds has been available to the general public.

That was a definite surprise to me as I thought that jewlers had been using the kinds and cuts of diamonds we see in our jewelery today for much longer than that.

Today, almost all jewlery stores offer a large selection of diamond jewlery, but prior to 150 years ago it was almost exclusively worn by royalty in their crowns and rings.

What about costume jewlery?

Where and when did it originate? From what we can gather, costume jewlery, as we know it today, appeared in the 1930′s.

It came into being as an inexpensive and disposable jewlery accessory made and meant to be worn with a certain outfit. It was never intended to be handed down from generation to generation.

When fashions changed, so did the look of costume jewlery. It was created to be fashionable for a brief period, shortly out date itself, and then something new would be created for the next fashion, fad or style.

Cheap jewelry also existed prior to the 1930s. Paste or glass jewelry dated as far back as the 1700s. The wealthy had their fine diamond and gold jewlery duplicated for a variety of reasons, usually to keep if from being stolen. Glass or paste stones were used on gold plated or rolled gold mounts as substitutes for real gems and 14 or 18 carat gold.

In today’s world, jewlery still symbolizes so many different things, from marriage to the Pope’ ring to simple friendship, and it is even used to help bring attention to causes such as breast cancer research and awareness.
